Gold Tone Mastertone™ OB-250/AT Arch Top 5-String Banjo With Case

Monthly payments available Learn more

I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for arch top banjos.  The nearly mechanical Gatling gun sound of the likes of Doug Dillard and many others, that crisp pop and distinct note separation are what sets an arch top banjo apart, and this is a very nice example.

If you’re anything like us, you probably appreciate the wonderful old traditional “mountain” tone of an archtop banjo!  Known for incredible note separation and loud punctual tone, archtops have had a big role in shaping traditional music.  Popularized by the likes of Ralph Stanley, Doug Dillard, and about everybody else who played banjo in the 1970’s, haha, this banjo definitely has that old nostalgic raised head look and tone.

Features include the popular curly maple binding on the maple neck and resonator, GT-Master planetary tuners, Hearts & Flowers inlay, one-piece curly maple veneer on the resonator, straightline tailpiece, and a new gorgeous brown finish offset with chrome plated hardware. The arch top bell brass tone ring is coupled with a 3-ply Canadian maple rim for utmost projection and response.

Includes professional setup and spike installation, hardshell case, and free shipping within the lower 48 US.
