Two of my favorite things: bluegrass pickin' & world class bass fishin'! Come join me for this inaugural event on famed Lake Fork in northeast Texas! Only 10 pro-guided fishing spots available!

DATE:Thursday-Saturday, June 1-3, 2023

LOCATION: Lake Fork in Wood County, TX, just 1.5 hours east of DFW.

PRICE*:$899 for all 3 days (2 days fishing/1 day camp), or $299 for 1 day camp only with no guided fishing.

Skill Level:Honestly, if you want to have fun and learn, skill level is not important. Classes are small so a level of individual attention will be available throughout the day. It's helpful to be able to play basic rhythm and pick out basic solos, even if you have to read tab to do so.

Teachers:Banjo Ben, Katy Lou, and Kristin Scott Benson will teach banjo & guitar throughout the day.

Atmosphere: We'll spend day 1 & day 3 (Thursday & Saturday) fishing famed Lake Fork with profession Lake Fork guides (two fishermen per boat)! Day 2, Friday, is camp day located at a VRBO near our boat ramp. 

This is a world-class fishing trip with lots of bluegrass thrown in! I'll have a great prize for biggest fish!

Preparation: I will help you prepare! I'll send you some tunes we'll be working on, as well as other tips to get you ready. 

The $899 price option includes:

• Two days of fishing (June 1 & 3) and one day camp (June 2)
• Fishing for largemouth bass with professional guides (2 fishermen per boat)
• Gratuity for the guides
• All fishing gear
• Jamming
• Small Group Instruction
• Snacks and drinks on Friday

The $299 price option includes:

• One day camp on Friday, June 2
• Jamming
• Small Group Instruction
  
• Snacks and drinks on Friday

Prices do not include:

• Lodging, which is amply available at nearby hotels, VRBO, etc. 
• Meals for the 3 days
• Fishing licenses
  
• Travel

Cancellation policy: All cancellations will incur a 3.5% processing fee. After March 3, there will be a $250 cancellation fee; no refunds after April 3. If for some reason the event is not able to be held, refunds will be given to all registrants.

FAQs: 

1. Can I bring my family or friends?Guests will be welcome to join you for meals and evening jamming. They will not be able to attend the camp. If they want to fish, they need to provide their own arrangements. If you have a specific request, submit it here. 
2. Should I fly or drive? That's up to you! Camp and fishing will be in Wood County, Texas, about 1.5 hours east of Dallas. Hotel lodging nearby.
3. What happens if it rains? We'll fish rain or shine, and I have facilities that will accommodate camp rain or shine. With the fishing days being on Thursday & Saturday, we're very likely to have at least one great weather day. If for some reason weather interferes to the point where the guides refund the fees, the fees will be refunded to the camper.
4. What will the weather be like? June in Texas is the beginning of hot season with an average daily high temperature of 86°. Rain is always a possibility, so bring rain gear!
5. Do I need to bring any fishing gear? You're welcome to bring your favorite gear, but otherwise all gear is provided by your guide.
6. Can I bring more than one instrument? Yep! You can bounce back and forth between guitar & banjo on camp day, and bring other instruments for jamming!
