This handy little device just slips over the existing nut on your acoustic guitar, which raises the strings up to be able to then use a slide steel and achieve more of a resonator guitar sound.  This is perfect for someone who may already play guitar but wants to try to learn to play dobro, but isn’t sure if they can or will stick with it.  Just a quick and easy “do it yourself” install will have you trying your hand at it in no time.  Some people also use these permanently on older, cheaper acoustic guitars that may need a lot of work to get the strings low enough to play...so just pop this in instead and turn it into a slide guitar.
