“RQ Jones” Retrofit Square Neck Resonator Guitar with Case

These square necks really impressed me. Not only did they arrive in great playing condition needing very little to no setup work done, but they have that great old traditional tone that I grew up listening to by great players such as Josh Graves and Mike Auldridge!

Rudy Quinton Jones was a visionary in the resonator guitar world. Played by many dobro pioneers and professionals, his name is now synonymous with great traditional sounding resonator guitars!

This series of reso-guitars is limited to only 10 pieces! So don’t hesitate!

During the 1970's and 1980's Rudy built a line of exceptional sounding Resonator Guitars, sometimes using unconventional methods.  Rudy worked with and built guitars for many luminaries in the music world.

After Rudy moved to Florida, he continued building resonator guitars just one at a time.  As the construction of his guitars became increasingly time consuming and costly, he developed a way toretrofit imported guitars bypassing the guitar body construction all together while still maintaining that special sound and quality he developed.  These follow that same retrofit formula by incorporating high quality components and modifications to a quality Regal mahogany body guitar!

“RQ” passed away due to Parkinson’s disease, but not before passing along his unique formula for how to masterfully retrofit these guitars to Bill Samford!  Below is what Billy has to say!

“Being a very small operation, I am starting with just 10 guitars and...”

  • I pledge to donate a minimum of 30% of the net profits to Parkinson's research in R.Q.'s name!
  • I personally retrofit each guitar using R.Q.'s proven method!
  • Each Guitar has a unique serial number distinguishing it from the great "Vintage" R.Q. Jones guitars built in the 70's and 80's!

Each instrument comes professionally set up and ships for free with a hardshell case!
