Snuffy Smith 5-String Compensated Banjo Bridge

Monthly payments available Learn more

These are the compensated version, which lengthens the G string of your banjo slightly to help prevent relative sharpness when playing the adjacent strings.

I often tell people that one of the quickest and easiest ways to improve the sound of your banjo, is to upgrade the existing bridge to a quality bridge.  The Snuffy Smith design sets the standard for what that should be, and is the very bridge we offer as an upgrade on banjos we sell.  Customers can usually tell right away that they have gained increased volume, tone, balance, depth, etc...That says a lot!

5/8 is the standard height which works best on most banjos.  You can measure your existing bridge height to make sure.  Crowe spacing is just a little wider spacing between the strings, and the pegged variation eliminates the glue joint between the ebony cap and maple base.  In theory, this allows for better vibration/tone transfer.
