Shipping & Returns

If you’re not happy with you purchase for whatever reason, don’t rush down to the pawn shop just yet. It may be returned for an exchange or a refund (see details below). Please contact us and let us know of your intention to return within 72 hours of receiving your order.

WHEN REQUESTING A RETURN:

  • Notify us of your intention to return within 72 hours to receive your RMA number by emailing store@banjobenclark.com or calling 833-226-5623
  • New products and/or instruments returned must be in unused condition. We cannot issue credit/refund for items or instruments with use or playing wear, or damaged packaging, etc.
  • All product manuals, documentation, warranty cards, etc. must be returned with the product and must be in same condition as received.
  • When shipping items back to us, make sure they are packed the same as it was received, using our original packing, and also fully insured. We cannot issue credit/refund for returned items that have been damaged during the return due to poor packaging by the customer. Include a note with your information and return/refund/exchange request.
  • If you receive a damaged item, please notify us immediately and await our instruction. Keep all the original box and packing because this is needed to file a claim. Do not return a damaged item without contacting us first so we can go through the proper channels.

Unless the product you ordered was defective or the incorrect product was shipped to you, any shipping and handling or insurance charges will be withheld from your refund amount. If your purchase included free shipping, those same costs listed above will be deducted from your refund. A 3% restocking fee will also be deducted from any refund, but in instances of exchange this restocking fee can be waived due to not having to process the refund through our payment services.

RETURN EXCEPTIONS: 

The following products are not returnable unless defective:

  • Custom orders or special orders.
  • Opened (no longer originally sealed) products with damaged factory packaging.

Some irregularities in products such as wood grain patterns in instruments can vary in appearance and do not qualify as a defect. Also, it’s very common for lower end instruments can have minor cosmetic inconsistencies, which are acceptable within certain price ranges.

NOTE: The pictures of products which are posted on our site do not always reflect the actual product being sold.  The exact appearance and specifications of a product can change without notice, but you can always contact us beforehand and request specific pictures/specs of an exact item we may have in stock.  

We reserve the right to have the final word in settling any difference of opinion between us and the customer over issues of defects and/or wear or damage which may have occurred during the customer’s possession of the product.

We treat all of our customers fairly and want them to be happy with their purchase, and we want them to come to us time and time again to help them fill their musical instrument and accessory needs. To read further about the terms of use, please click HERE

SHIPPING:

All continental US orders over $49 (after all applicable discounts are calculated) qualify for free standard shipping.

Any orders under $49 will have a standard shipping charge of $4.99 and must go in a box or bubble envelope to avoid damage within the carrier's system.  We can't "just put it in an envelope and put a stamp on it" due to the high damage and loss rate associated with shipping items this way.  Also, the standard way in which we ship is insurable and traceable. 

Instruments will ship either Fedex or UPS by default, and a signature is required for all instruments with an insurance value of $500 or more.  This is required or the carrier will not insure the package.  You can call your local shipping hub and coordinate with them for delivery if need be, or request they hold it at the hub for pickup.

Upgradeable shipping options other than what is listed during checkout are sometimes available too depending on location etc... so feel free to email generalstore@banjobenclark.com to inquire about express options.  

Note: For any USPS First Class option selected (which includes our free shipping over $49 on non instrument orders), they don’t guarantee delivery any sooner than within 30 days, though usually it’s quicker than that.  On the USPS Priority options on our site which give an estimate of delivery time, these are only estimates, and this is not the same as a guaranteed express delivery.  USPS Priority only guarantees delivery within 10 days.  (This information applies to domestic shipments.)

If you are inquiring about international shipping, the free shipping offer for orders over $49 only applies to continental US orders.  But our website will calculate and quote shipping costs for you during checkout, if it happens to be a larger item or an instrument and you find shipping is too high then feel free to email us with what item(s) you're interested in and your address and we will look for a better shipping rate for you.
