Dave’s “Ultimate” Brass Banjo Capo C-Style by Elliott Bending

This beauty is constructed of heavy duty brass and operates smoothly.  Even though it’s similar in style to the most popular capos, it has a solid fixed in place front bar and is open on one side to allow for use all the way up the neck past the 5th fret!  Capos with the closed in frame don’t allow this and can only be used on the first 4 frets.  

Also, the heavy brass construction adds mass to the neck which theoretically increases the sustain of your instrument.  It also has a large thumbscrew for easy use with stabilizing bars which press against the screw head to minimize sharp notes due to over tightening.  This capo can be used with any flat fingerboard banjo and most mandolins.
