Pre-Owned 1941 F-5 Gibson F-Style Mandolin with Case

Very beautiful and rare vintage Gibson mandolin. Only about a dozen were made of this model in this year.  Sounds and plays great, has that wonderful vintage woody tone.  

Overall condition very nice considering age.  Beautiful quilted maple back, carved spruce top, and otherwise all the Gibson F-5 features one would expect. Bruce Weber of Montana Lutherie replaced the original Kluson tuners with Kluson closed-back tuners, replaced the bridge installed by Gruhn (because it had cracked over time) with a bridge of his own design and did a fret job with EVO fret wire. The original tuners, the Gruhn bridge and the original hard case are included.
