I was a little skeptical of these, but after playing one in person I have a huge crush on this guitar.  The built in technology allows you to play with different types of reverb and chorus effects, and it’s all built in to the guitar.  So it doesn’t sound cheesy at all, because the guitar is what is making the effects in essence.  It actually sounds amazingly natural and organic and can run on 9v battery.  The one we’ve been playing on in the store has at least 8 hours of play time on it and the battery still works just fine.  You can also plug it into an amp and pass the effects along to the amp conventionally ad well.  So Yamaha has really done something special with this guitar.
