This beautiful handmade leather pouch houses an attached linen bag filled with crushed pine pitch. Simply work it in your hands a bit, and the pitch powder comes through the linen and allows your fingers to get tacky (but not sticky), and provides an excellent grip for flatpicks. Ideal for those three hour outdoor gigs in the heat, but I love using it year-round!

Eventually the pitch powder will run out, yes. Active pickers can expect about 2 years of use. But at that point, you can cut out the cloth and have a quality leather pouch for storing picks & more. 

Beautifully handcrafted by Austin craftsman Julian Root, theses Pitch Pockets are works of art. Nothing is mass produced here. The cow leather is Weaver "Sao Paolo" and is veg tanned the old-fashioned way using a tightly-controlled, one to three-month process that utilizes tree bark and other natural tannins. This leather is for life.
