Now in an Archtop!  The only current production model Bowtie banjo in this class!  Over a year in the making, the Gold Tone OB-2 is based upon the renowned and unique Gibson "Bowtie,” a 1960’s model Mastertone with an Archtop tone-ring. Authentic Bowtie Mastertone appointments such as the bottle shape headstock, signature bowtie inlay, concentric resonator rings, and that authentic era correct sunburst finish against the deep reflective nickel plating make this banjo an absolute show stopper!

Each one will be personally and professionally setup prior to shipping.  And the sound on these is so good.  The tone is crisp and bell like, as one would expect from a Mastertone spec banjo, but there’s also a little more crispness and note separation found in this model that isn’t often found in many banjos at this price point!

Gold Tone has done an outstanding job with quality control and consistency!   And since we introduced the Twanger along with Gold Tone a few years ago, they have really been making a splash in the bluegrass banjo world.  This is a great continuation in that lineage.
