They come with a custom radio coverplate, a vintage inspired satin finish, and are made of quality birch. Allowing even more players to be able to afford the legendary performance of a Beard instrument!

For the player looking for the classic style and sound of the 1930s resonators! The Beard R Model has a traditional body shape and open soundwell construction. It features a traditional layered birch body construction and the highest quality Beard parts! Perfect for traditional playing! The R Models smaller body produces a clear sustained high range balanced with a punchy growling bass end. It’s very easy to pull tone from, the sound just jumps out at the slightest command. The R Models feature Paul Beards triple spun Legend Cone and an Original #14 spider bridge!

Beard Radio Standard R

Can’t say enough good things about the tone of this dobro. The fit and finish is exquisite I can’t find a single flaw on it anywhere. The sound is unbelievable how great it is…it’s very balanced focused and clear across the entire spectrum from bass to treble and it’s VERY loud. Amazing how responsive it is the sound comes out very easy. Over all I’m very impressed with this instrument it’s setup perfectly. Thanks again Jake and folks at Banjo Ben store!
