This banjo will surprise you with how good it sounds!   It’s probably, dollar for dollar, one of the best sounding banjos in the store right now!

This banjo came to me (Jake) as what I call a “bag of banjo” several years ago.  It was most of an old Japanese made Ibanez artist model, just unassembled.  It was missing the original rim, but had a Cox 3-ply maple rim included instead, which is a good thing.  So in my free time over the course of a couple days I put everything together to see how it would sound and play.  I had expectations of probably having to take it back apart and probably recut the neck angle and stain the rim (it was in the white) but when I put it together it played and sounded so good that I just left it as is.  It’s a genuine screamer of a banjo, what we call that “hot rod” sound!  All the fellers here agree!   Anyway, I had sold it a few years back and it has made its way back in our shop for sale! This would make a fantastic beginner banjo (that you wouldn’t soon need to upgrade) or even a pro banjo for someone who may not want to drag their more expensive instruments around to festivals.  Includes professional setup, hardshell case, spikes at 7 and 9, and free shipping in the Lower 48 US!
