Banjo Ben Stainless Steel Wound 5-String Banjo Strings (Light or Medium)

I'm often asked what type of banjo strings to use. Strings affect tone, of course, but also playability and ultimately your confidence as a picker. It took me quite a while to settle into a set and I'm happy to bring those to you today. Put my signature strings on your banjo and I'll bet you'll be satisfied, too.

This light gauge set is a bit heavier on the 1st, 4th, and 5th strings than some of the light gauge strings on the market, giving a bit more solid, punchy tone.  The 2nd and 3rd string are still light enough for easy string bends.  The stainless steel wound 4th string gives great tone and lasts well.

The strings come individually packed in envelopes conveniently numbered for strings 1 through 5.

This medium gauge set is a bit lighter on the 3rd and 4th strings than many other medium gauge sets on the market these days, giving a bit crisper attack and more ease of playing.  The stainless steel wound 4th string gives great tone and lasts well.
