PLEASE BE ADVISED: In July 2026, Glacier National Airport (in Kalispell, MT, near Bigfork) will close its runways from Monday evenings through Friday mornings for four consecutive weeks to allow for a major rehabilitation project. You can STILL fly into Kalispell before camp on a weekend, just not July 20-24. If you want to fly into Kalispell, book your trip as early as you can. There are several alternative airports. Missoula Montana Airport is just 2 hours south. Great Falls, MT & Spokane, WA, are other options that offer a beautiful route into Bigfork with a 4 hour drive each. Another option is Amtrak–it stops just north of Kalispell in Whitefish, with car rentals available.

MEALS PROVIDED:Supper on Thursday, Lunch & Supper Friday, and Lunch on Saturday. Guest passes available for purchase for Thursday & Friday's suppers and Saturday's lunch.

PRICE:$999 each, with guest meal passes available for purchase!

Skill Level: Beginner to upper intermediate. Must be able to play basic rhythm chords along with slow songs and have a desire to begin soloing/improvising. If you often jam proficiently with pros, this camp may be too basic for you. If you cannot play simple chords with slow songs, this camp is too advanced for you.

Atmosphere: This camp is an intimidation-free zone! No one will be put on the spot or made to feel dumb! Mess ups are encouraged, because that means you're trying. Believe me, I mess up all the time.

Preparation: I will help you prepare! I'll give you access to my BanjoBenClark.com lessons website until camp, and I'll send you some tunes we'll be working on, as well as other tips to get you ready.

A great way to prepare is play with my PickAlong lessons found HERE! You don't have to be able to play solos, but it's good to familiarize yourself with the melody and try to learn the chord progression. There is no stress, y'all. Just do what you can to prepare, and I'll take you from there!

Here are lessons on my site that are great for preparing, but not necessary:
Banjo - Banjo Boot Camp, Banjo Hand Positions, Pickin' Your Banjo Picks, How to Read Banjo Tab, Basic Major Chords, Banjo Roll Studies, & Basic Banjo Backup.
Guitar - Pick & Hand Fundamentals, How to Read Guitar Tab, Common Major Chords, G Major Scale Study, Inside Cabin Camp: Intro to Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar, Waltz or 3/4 Guitar Rhythm, Essential Chord Theory, How to Build Solos
Mandolin - Introduction to the Mandolin, Pick Hand Foundations, How to Read Mandolin Tab, Learning Open Mandolin Chords: G, C, & D, Minor Chords, Basic Mandolin Rhythm, Alternate Picking Exercise, Jamming in G, Jamming in A (same concept)

I keep it small. I want to get to know you and join you on your pickin' journey. I'll have some of the BEST instructors in the biz!
