Note:Silver Dollar City's Bluegrass & BBQ festival is happening most of the month of May, so you can combine this camp with MORE bluegrass! Also, the Youth in Bluegrass national competition is happening Saturday, May 23! There are lots of grassy reasons to come to Branson this spring!

Thursday & Friday, May 21-22 = A popular theater in Branson, MO, located just a couple miles off the Branson Strip (76 Country Blvd), Branson's Entertainment District.

CAMP PRICE: $599*

*Meals & lodging are not included. Ample lodging is located around the venue.

Skill Level:Late beginner through advanced. It is best if you can play basic rhythm on your instrument, be familiar with chord shapes. If you're wanting to learn and have fun, just come on...this camp is for you!

Schedule Details: 
(Optional) Wednesday, May 20
- You're invited to a private gathering at Banjo Ben's General Store in Exeter, MO, (~1 hour west of Branson), and you'll have the chance to take advantage of some exclusive Cabin Camp-only deals! I'll have some terrific giveaways and a jam, too!

Thursday, May 21 - We'll spend all day, 9am-9pm, in small group instruction sessions, jam sessions, and large group instruction sessions.

Friday, May 22- We'll spend 9am to 3pm in small group instruction sessions, jam sessions, and large group instruction sessions. 

Preparation: I will help you prepare! I'll send you some tunes we'll be working on, as well as other tips to get you ready. 

The $599 price option includes:

  • An optional evening of jamming at my General Store (May 20), with special discounts and prizes for Cabin Camp attendees, in Exeter, MO
  • Swag bag of strings, tuner, and Cabin Camp t-shirt!
  • Snacks, coffee, and water

Prices do not include:

  • Lodging, which is amply available at nearby hotels, VRBO, etc. 
  • Meals
  • Travel

Cancellation policy: 
All cancellations will incur a 3.5% processing fee. After February 21, 2026, there will be a $250 cancellation fee; no refunds after March 21, 2026. In the unlikely circumstance that this event needs to be canceled, refunds will be given to all registrants, however, we are unable to reimburse participants for any personal travel arrangements or related expenses. We encourage attendees to plan travel accordingly.

  1. Can I bring my family or friends?
    Guests will be welcome to join you for meals and evening jamming. They will not be able to attend the camp inside the theater. 
  2. Should I fly or drive?
    That's up to you! Camp will be held in a theater right off the Branson Strip in Branson, MO, which is about one hour south of SGF airport in Springfield, MO, or a little over two hours north of XNA airport in Bentonville, AR. 
  3. What lodging is nearby?
    You'll find many options right on or near Gretna Road (part of the Branson Strip), including Comfort Inn & Suites Branson Meadows, Lodge of the Ozarks, Baymont by Wyndham Branson, and Hotel Grand Victorian, offering proximity to shows, dining, and attractions, with hotels like Chateau on the Lake and Westgate Branson Woods Resort a bit further for resort-style stays. 
  4. What happens if it rains?
    We'll be covered inside the theater!
  5. What will the weather be like?
    May in Southern Missouri is typically warm and pleasant. Rain is always a possibility, so bring rain gear!
  6. Can I bring more than one instrument? 
    Yep! Bring your primary instrument for instruction sessions, but you can bounce between other instruments for jamming!
