This tailpiece is a throwback to a rare design from a long time ago.  It’s lightweight aluminum construction is not only unique by its looks, but also in design.  The attachment bolt is fixed to the tailpiece and attaches easily to a conventional L Bracket like is standard on most banjos.  This design allows for the strings to be more spread out as they cross the bridge and minimizes pinching in the string slots that way.  Works great for 4-string and 5-string banjos.
