Collings CJ45T Traditional Series Guitar With Case

 CJ45 T (serial # 35303).  This is one of the strongest J45 style guitars I’ve ever had the privilege to play.  The tone is dry and balanced, and just super strong.  Plus, the neck profile being a bit fatter like the older guitars this one is seeking to honor gives my hand purpose and feels very comfortable.  Just a wonderful choice for anyone looking for this style of instrument and the advantages it offers.  

As with all of Collings’ Traditional Series guitars, when it came time to add a “T” designation to the slope shoulder offerings, they didn’t simply tweak the original; the Collings CJ-45 T is a fully-reimagined instrument that offers a distinct tonal variation when compared to other CJ and CJ-35 models.

Strongly vintage-inspired, the body construction has been completely re-engineered, including new bracing carves and patterns. When combined with the latest T-Series neck design and unique CJ-45 neck profile, the result showcases a tone and performance that is exceptionally dry and fundamental with the growl and thump sought in the great slope-shoulder dreads of the Wartime era.

The CJ-45 T is a Traditional build with a fundamental-focused tone featuring Honduran mahogany back and sides, non-grained ivoroid body binding with no purfling, no binding on the fingerboard and peghead, a fully-exposed rosette, East Indian rosewood fingerboard with ebony straight bridge, shorter 24 7/8″ scale length, and Wartime scalloped X-bracing.
