Huber Vintage Granada Truetone 5-String Banjo with Case

One of the very best banjos money can buy!!!  If you’re after that pre-war Gibson Granada design and sound, you can’t find a better new production banjo than the Huber Truetone VRB-G.   

The Huber VRB-G Truetone is a faithful representation of the classic Granada style banjo, featuring an accurate 1930’s style replica (Huber HR-30) Tone Ring and Huber Engineered Rim.  These two components alone are leaders of the pack in reproducing that vintage Gibson tone that is so sought after.

The neck and resonator are carefully crafted from the finest flamed maple, and we mean REALLY FINE, with a rich golden sunburst finish. The flamed maple neck imparts a classic rich sound to the VRB-G, most reminiscent of legendary performers like Earl Scruggs and Sonny Osborne.  It lends to a quick note response and has that nice deep growl.  There’s a beautiful complexity to the notes when played sweetly but can also sound “mean” when you want to put a little more claw to it.  The rosewood fingerboard and double cut headstock are inlaid with the classic Flying Eagle or Hearts & Flowers pattern, and the gold plated parts feature Granada-style engraving on the tension hoop and arm rest.  Just a gorgeous banjo that plays like butter, great GREAT feeling neck too!

This one has the classic flying eagle inlay pattern with engraved tension hoop and arm rest.  Gold hardware and ivoroid buttons complete the vintage look of this model.
