Huber is among the very best of replicating the pre war Gibson banjos, and this one is a fine example of a style 75!
This is Huber’s version of the old prewar style-75 banjos. This particular banjo has a mahogany neck that has a very nice feel to it along with a rosewood fingerboard with Flying Eagle inlay. There is very little fret wear on this banjo. There is a small amount of wear on the resonator (mostly where the thin lacquer finish has settled into the wood grain as is typical,) which is to be expected on a banjo of this build type that has been played even a little bit. The tone is big and full with a nice initial crisp attack, and it’s got power for days all over the neck. It comes with a hard shell Superior case and a Huber Basketweave Leather Strap. A new version of this banjo starts at $5,295.00!
