Remo Weatherking 11 inch Ebony Banjo Head

Smooth top heads are great for cutting down on finger noise, especially for plectrum or clawhammer styles where fingers might drag across the head.  The black color of this one as well makes for a unique look!

For Bluegrass, this head has long been the standard.  Fits standard 11” pot assemblies.

 Low Crown - 3/8" ( Fits most archtops)

Medium Crown - 7/16" ( Fits most archtops AND flatheads) 

High Crown - 1/2" (Fits most flatheads)

To determine which crown height you need, measure from the top of the stretcher band (metal ring around circumference of head) to the top of the head.
