The Eastman E8D Rosewood Guitar

Eastman E8D

Check out the Eastman E8D rosewood dreadnought!

When I evaluate an acoustic guitar, any acoustic, I have the same general checklist in mind:

  • How it sounds: Can I feel it in my belly? Is the tone even from bottom to top?
  • How it feels: Is it easy to play? Is it comfortable? Do I struggle to play it?
  • How it looks: What about the grain? Fit and finish? Attention to detail?

The Eastman line of dreads passes all those tests. So much so that I had to have one for myself! Check out this video to hear it for yourself!

I’ve had the ac422ce for two and a half years now love it. I went in the store to buy a Gibson hummingbird and walked out with an Eastman replaced the Fishman prefix with an lr baggs anthem

Hey John, great question. I think the sound is as good as the 160 but the fit/finish is nicer, perhaps a bit nicer wood grain, which is where you see the $100 difference between the two. As far as lefties go, we’ll have to check with the makers. Send us an email at generalstore@banjobenclark.com and we’ll get it going!

How does the E8D compare to something like the Blueridge BR 160? Are they both available in lefty?
