Every banjo player needs to have one of these–just in case. Perfect for playing in keys above the 5th fret where many other capo designs cannot go. Actually, it is very common for a bluegrass banjo player to have an Elliot or Paige-style capo for use below the 5th fret, and one of these tucked away in the flange for when the need arises to play above the 5th fret. Not to mention, a separate capo-ing system is required for the 5th string alone. Quite a set-up we Banjoists have going on here, isn't it?

After using a Paige capo for a couple years, I ordered the Shubb. While the Paige is compact, it does take two hands to put it on properly. While jamming one night I saw someone use a Shubb. He put it on with one hand! In a nutshell, the Shubb C-5 capo is darn good. The only drawback is it is larger than my Paige, so it will not fit into the little pocket I have on my banjo strap. It takes two hands to put my Paige there, too.

I received my item very quickly and love it. So much better than other capos I've used. Easy to put on and not have to retune.
As always, Jake and Banjo Ben's did what we all have come to expect...they came through with the best products and the turn around time was phenomenally quick. Thank you!
