 The F-5G is a simpler and more affordable version of Gibson's iconic F-5 design. Constructed to meet the needs of modern and demanding mandolin players, its specs include a bound ebony fingerboard, a 14-degree fingerboard radius, no pickguard, and a short finger board extension, and 1 11/16” bone nut. The neck and body are made from figured red maple and this custom model is made with a very nice Adirondack Spruce top and is also back bound for that more traditional look. Everything a bluegrasser could want in a mandolin.
